Contributors: Megan, Jason, Christina
Subject: Counting, Memory Skills, Measurement Skills, Writing, Critical Thinking
Grade Level: First Grade

General Description of Lesson: We will be teaching in stations.
Station 1: Create a Summer countdown chain with construction paper. Students will have to measure how wide each link has to be, cut out their strips and connect them in a pattern of red and green alternating using tape.
Station 2:Students will be using the Smart to play a memory game with peers. Students will have to match pictures in order to beat the game. The game is timed and when completed they will receive a score. They have to try to beat their previous score. If there is an odd amount there will be a score keeper.
Station 3: Answer online questions about summer break.
Station 4: Number boards will be placed at the station along with cereal. The boards will have numbers and the students will have to complete their board by putting the number of Cheerios the board asks for. When completed they are asked to raise their hand to be checked.
